Design to be Seen: Secondary entrances should be easy to locate and distinguishable from the rest of the building
This secondary entrance is distinguished from the main building facade through the use of a canopy, signage and a wide staircase. The doorway is further defined by two large plinths and masonry detailing.
This secondary entrance has been accentuated through the use of an extruding, white frame. The frame helps the entrance stand out from the building, drawing visitors in.
The glass door edges need to should be outlined so that people with low vision can easily detect whether the door is open.
The use of a simple, bright extruding canopy helps to effectively mark the location of this secondary entrance.
