In Case of Emergencies: Emergency exits and signage should be easy to see
Ceiling mounted emergency exit signs are highly visible and can be very effective at clearly marking evacuation routes.
Mid-level mounted emergency exit signage can be useful when higher mounting options are not available. Such signage has the added advantage of being less likely to be obscured by rising smoke than ceiling mounted signs.
Emergency exit signs provide clear, continuous evacuation route guidance, reducing the possibility of people becoming lost or confused.
Where a building has high ceiling heights emergency exit signage can be hung below ceiling level to increase its visibility.
