Context is everything: Make sure the development speaks to the context of your site
The design of this community facility is inspired by a Karaka grove and responds to the historical and cultural context of the site.
The design of this mixed use development (right) is inspired by the heritage Orange Coronation Hall. The development is distinctive and, together with the hall, helps to create a sense of place. Accessibility to the development could be improved through improved universal design features and accessible entrances.
Part of this building’s facade has been designed to resemble fish scales, responding to the nearby harbour.
